On Wednesday 5th November we held the first in a series of events for the Metal Processing Industry, ‘A Safer Future in Fabrication’ at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon.
The event focused on the ‘health’ in health & safety and included seminars on implementing an effective respiratory protection programme, hearing conservation, hand-arm vibration and behavioural safety from key note speaker, Peter Owen from Lattitude Safety.
Delegates had the chance to take part in interactive workshops and consult 3M experts on their specific set of circumstances. The event was well received with 100% of delegates stating that they would attend another 3M health & safety event or recommend it to a colleague.
If you missed our event on the 5th November, why not sign-up to ‘A Safer Future in Casting & Forging’ on the 26th November at the Magna Centre near Sheffield. The agenda for this event is very similar, but focuses on examples from the casting & forging industry. Just visit www.3m.co.uk/metalevents to find out more or register your interest.
Alternatively, we are holding a third event, featuring new seminars and topics, on the 11th March 2015. To register your interest for this event please visit www.3m.co.uk/metalevent2015.
If you can’t make our event on the 26th November, or you would like to watch the seminars again, please visit the downloads section. The 4-Step Guide to hearing conservation will be uploaded shortly, so please leave a comment if you would like us to notify you when it is available.
